Calamity Jane's features one-of-a-kind and custom-made furniture from India , Peru , Brazil , Argentina , Mexico , and of course our own local Texas artists. Our exotic array of hides, greenery, kilims, pottery, lighting, mirrors and more will compliment any home, ranch, or office. We also carry incredible jewelry, leather goods, stone works and fine art from noted artists including Rocki Gorman, Kenneth Wyatt, G. Harvey and others. From one week to the next our store will change up its distinct look and feel making each shopping trip to Calamity Jane's a true adventure. An ever changing collection from travertine, copper, wrought iron, and wood, to leather and velvet, fringe, beads, and feathers all mix together to meld the unmistakable styling of Shawn Beach and Calamity Jane's Trading Company - a style we like to call the Texas Hill Country!
Our store is housed in a historic homestead on the Main Street of picturesque Boerne , Texas . The town of Boerne can be found north of San Antonio , Texas nestled in to the countryside and aptly named The Key to the Hills. We recently added another showroom by renovating a second antique house on the property and named it The Lodge at Calamity Jane's. About Designer Shawn Beach
Even though owner Shawn Beach was raised in southern California , she and her family call the hills of Texas “home”. Mrs. Beach showed a love for art and design early in life and continued her education in Arizona where she studied Architectural and Interior Design. She worked a number of years for a noted architect in Phoenix where her duties included everything from the drawing of homes to complete layout and design of interior spaces. She later added real estate sales to her professional expertise and has been a successful Texas agent for the past eleven years. The broad range of exposure to this diverse array of styles has made Shawn Beach's vision for design inimitable and strong. Her desire to bring beauty and comfort to the homes of others inspired her to utilize her many talents and open Calamity Jane's Trading Company .
